Use Sunlight from a web browser

You have the option to download and use the Sunlight app on your mobile device or to access it securely from a web browser — no software to install.

Here's how to use Sunlight from a web browser.

Sign in

  1. Go to the Sunlight link your organization provided, go to getsunlight.org and click Login or enter the URL: app.getsunlight.org to access the sign-in screen.
  2. Enter your email and credentials for your account (or use magic link or single sign-on if your organization offers that option).
  3. If you belong to more than one organization, choose one from the list. (You can 

    set a default organization in your profile settings.)

     

  4. You should then see your Home page.

Home

Home is your personalized dashboard. What you see depends on your role (admin, user, client). Some sections may take a moment to load; that's normal. The "+New" button on the top right lets you quickly log a note, task, event or document.

Navigate

The left navigation frame (messages, search, events, tasks, notes, forms, documents) should be visible from any screen. You'll see the items your role allows.

Search

Click the search icon and type at least two characters to search across the cases, clients, notes, documents, tasks, events, and messages you have access to.

Switch organizations

If your account spans multiple organizations, use the organization switcher to move between them without signing out. Each org is a fully separate workspace.

Note: Everyone sees a different view — navigation, dashboard, and search are all filtered to your role. Your organization may also rename things ("Cases" may appear as "Matters").
