VOCA Report: Where Is It?
Where to Find and Run the VOCA Report
CasaManager builds your Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) report from the children flagged as VOCA and the VOCA services recorded on their records.
Optional: Take a quick look with Quick Counts
- Go to Reports and open Quick Counts.
- Enter a date range, or pick one of the 19 quick date presets, such as last fiscal quarter.
- To narrow the results, pick a county, program or grant. Leave them set to all to include everything.
- Click Set Counts.
Under Other Counts, New VOCA children shows children flagged as VOCA whose case opened in your date range. Click the number to see them, or switch to list view to sort or export.
Run the VOCA report
- Go to Reports, then All Reports, and search for "VOCA." Click the star to save it to your favorites.
- Choose the main VOCA Stats report. Agencies in California and Nebraska have their own state reports in the same list.
- Enter your date range. Optionally pick a county or program.
- Click Run Report. You'll be asked whether to run the VOCA Data Wizard first, which checks for missing data. We recommend running it. See How do I use the VOCA Data Wizard to find and fix missing data?
- Answer the required questions, shown in purple:
- Date range or grant date: Use the date range you entered, or the grant date from each child's Grant field if your agency uses it.
- First report of the VOCA fiscal year? Answer Yes to include all served children in the demographics. Answer No to report only new children for a later quarter.
- Click Continue.
Use the information icons beside each question if you're unsure which to choose.
Read and fix your results
The report is grouped into banners: children served, demographics, victimization types, children with more than one victimization type, special classifications and service types.
- Drill down: Click any blue number to see the children behind it.
- Fix missing data on the spot: In the drill-down list, a purple checkbox means data is missing. Check the right box and the purple clears.
- Review services: Click View VOCA Services to step through each child's services without leaving your list.
- Shortcut buttons at the top find active cases not set as VOCA, all active VOCA cases, and cases missing victimizations or services.
You can also sort, export, print or open list view from the report.
Report looks empty? Your children may not be flagged as VOCA yet, or their VOCA services haven't been entered. Fix those, then run the report again.
Other VOCA reports
The same search also brings up the VOCA Ethnicity report, the VOCA Summary report and the VOCA Worksheet. You can also run the report for a different grant by changing the grant before you click Run Report.
